I don't know if I did the right thing to share it before posting this blog, but I thought it would be a great song to put on the DanceMachine! movie.

Every time I hear this song I thought of Lena and her Rat Pack gang entering to this beat and killing hearts (as iDMer Sydney commented), then her Harvest Moon Dance scene, and with a bit of remixing, maybe the Lena & Jason scene (from the sides).

(nearly thought of not uploading due to copyright reasons, maybe I should give it a try and see if it's worth it, if not I'll delete it, and probably due to the video being only an image).

Hey guyssssssssssss I'm super happy :D
I made it to the 2nd round of the YobiAct contest I'm soooo happy, this is the first time I pass to another round in a contest.
I wanted to write this blog And thank each one of you who have voted for me, I'm in the 2nd round because of YOU, seriously I wouldn't have done this without your support and it makes me super happy, because I never had friends who supported my dream of being be an actress, my "friends" from here laugh about me, and at this point I'm starting to careless if they think I'll never make it, and you know why? A tip for those who audition for Perry/iDMTV

For those auditioning for Perry:

If you want to increase your chances of getting a callback for the role of Perry, try to use Perry's lines from other characters' sides (ex. Cherri, Tami...) and as some of them have like only one or two lines, you can tape them and put them together in a video.

My Experience with the Idance machine crew in Las Vegas, Nevada

Exhilarating!The presense of several producers, Casting director and Director were very inspired by me thoroughly & enjoyed my audtion, so I got a call back. The crew's dedication and cordialness made me feel right at home. The audition was filmed with 3-D cameras and they dazzled me, it was so elaborate it reminded me of something that you would see filmed in Star Wars. The crew were very professional and very friendly, all and all I thoroughly enjoyed it.

At the beginning of this year, I was just a girl who spent a 75% of her time googling online casting calls worldwide.
In June I decided to read "The Alchemist" by Paulo Cohelo and some things in my life changed; I found iDanceMachine.com, It was a signal (those who had read the book understand me).
It was on June 8 when the journey began, I joined iDM, I was afraid and excited at the same time, because I was too shy to expose myself, at that time I only had done 2 undercover auditions in my life.
iDanceMachine gave me the courage to tape my first audition for Zoe and upload it, I was so afraid of what the idm people could think; and it was a surprise for me that I received many good comments and advices for my next audition. This was definitive for me to tape another one. What I'm trying to say is that iDM helped me like nothing else ever did with my acting, I feel that I've improved, now I know a lot of things that I didn't know before and the most important I've met wonderful talented persons whom soon became my friends and virtual family.
I wanted to take some time and dedicate this blog to all my idm family, share my feelings and of course WISH YOU ALL THE BEST for this 2012.
I know this 2012 will be tough for some of us because the roles for the movie will be casted, but I want you guys to know that WHETHER WE GET CHOSEN OR NOT, IT'S NOT BECAUSE WE ARE NOT TALENTED ENOUGH, IT'S BECAUSE SOMETIMES NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOU ARE, YOU DON'T FIT THE ROLE (I read this in the twitter of a famous actor whose name I don't remember).
Anyways, I wanna thank you because YOU MADE MY 2011.
I'll be thankful with you for the rest of life and I want you to know that I love you all.

'Ello Everyone!

Here's the dealio... I have a favor to ask of you and I would completelty understand if you choose not to help.

In theatre, we are doing a Bully project. I decided to do some kind of video of peoples' experiences and thoughts about it. I was wandering if you would like to give me a couple of short vids of your insight on the matter. It can be personal, statistics, advice, your thoughts, ect.

This project will be shown to the class and possibly, if it's a moving enough piece, to other schools as an awarness video. I want to make this a moving piece. I want people to get some form of emotional response and sit uncomfortably in their chairs while chewing on the information presented to them.

If you'd like to do this then create your video and send it to wuzsup_yo@yahoo.com (I made that account a long time ago lol). Also, if you have any pointers or advice, please let me know.

Actors MAKING IT HAPPEN in L.A.

Hey all,

I'm Hollis and I'd love to share some tips, advice, and experiences with you here on IDM. Thought this would be an appropriate place to reach all those aspiring actors out there.

I've lived in Los Angeles as as transplant from Pittsburgh for a little more than 5 years now and have been making a living at on-camera work since I was 15 (I'm in my late 20s now). I am a member of SAG, AFTRA, and AEA (Equity -- stage work), and teach drama as well as produce full-length indie films. I've also recently published a book called "101 Monologues for Kids!"

Any questions you'd like me to address here please feel free to write to pieheadcasting@gmail.com ... I'm still figuring out how to use this IDM site, even though I've been "on it" for technically a year! LOL I'm computer-challenged sometimes. :op

New Audition Sides for DanceMachine! are now ready!
Here's the link.
I encourage you to submit your audition as soon as you can. Please submit at least one audition as scripted. Then if you like, show us your creative side(s). Stretch the characters, make them your own, show us what you can do.

Yes, it is okay to resubmit any audition as many times as you like - I personally love to see how much many of you have greatly improved. And, yes, we do watch each and every audition video that is submitted.

Here's a big tip: if you have noticed yet from the iDMers that have been cast in past productions, originality really goes a long way and (hint, hint) with iDMTV coming soon, being original is a sure way to get the producers to take notice of you.
